New York Institute of Technology’s Office of Strategic Communications and External Affairs (SCEA) is seeking an experienced, creative, and driven marketing leader to set and execute the acquisition and growth marketing strategy for the New York Tech brand and student recruitment.
The ideal candidate possesses a growth mindset, analytical prowess, and strong collaboration skills.
You’ll use proven experience to create and drive our acquisition and growth marketing strategy, working alongside a talented internal team and external media partner in executing this strategy across multiple communication channels.
Accountabilities, Actions, and Expected Measurable Results
Subject Matter Expertise: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of multichannel marketing and advertising campaigns (web, print, digital, video);
Therefore, having deep marketing expertise will be key as evolve how we go to market.
A Love of Data That Leads to Actionable Insights:
The marketing director will develop a KPI framework to measure and optimize campaign effectiveness and will establish benchmarks and analytics reporting systems, monitoring and adjusting tactics and approaches.
This role will work collaboratively with departments and teams across the university to meet institutionally driven goals and objectives, and ensure that all projects (internal/external) are delivered on time, on budget, on brand, and with clearly defined ROI and measurable outcomes.
Agency Management Expertise: As the primary liaison with our external media agency, marketing director is responsible for relaying goals and strategies to the agency
In-house creative team to develop campaigns and determine placements as well as for evaluating agency plans -proposals, messaging, with design of all ad promotional campaigns.
Deep Understanding of Social Media: This person will supervise social media development and execution of integrated strategies and be well versed in the power of social media as an experiential communications and engagement tool for one of the university’s primary audiences, Gen Z.
Remaining on the Cutting Edge:
This person will compile industry research, competitive landscape information, and information about new tools, and continually make recommendations for leveraging new tactics to reach university strategic goals.
Work Within Budget: The ideal candidate will have a strong handle on evaluating and maintaining the advertising budget, inclusive of agency, media placement, creative, and other marketing and advertising-related activities.
7+ years of relevant work experience in high-growth environment, higher ed experience a strong plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Proven ability to lead and manage innovative and effective marketing programs that generate results and align with university-established goals.
Demonstrated excellence in cross-functional communication, with the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels.
